शब्दों की कतारों में
अर्थ कहीं ना खो जाए

बड़ी मशक्कत से जुटाई मेरी सच्चाई
बेमायनी कहीं ना हो जाए

इसलिए कुछ भी लिखने से डरता हूं मैं
लोग समझ नहीं पाते पर सीधी बात करता हूं मैं

क्यूंकि मुझे मरकर शब्द मिले है
जिनका आज सहारा है मुझे

यह उस वक़्त की सच्चाई है
जब ज़िन्दगी और मौत, दोनों ने मिलकर निहारा है मुझे

पहले का जीना जीना नहीं था
अब हर इक सांस दिल तक उतरती है

मेरी तो अब हर इक घड़ी
इसी सच्चाई में गुजरती है

इन्हीं लम्हों को देखना इबादत है उसकी
और इस सच्चाई का दीदार करना ही सूरत है उसकी।
